Here are some expressions and their meanings that you will come across when dealing with options.For a full explanation on “Options” see previous article posted yesterday.

Glossary:

In the money – the cost of exercising the option is less than the current FPO price less the exercise price [plus possibly whatever you paid].

Exercise price [also known as] Strike Price – the price which you must pay in order to convert your options into FPO’s

Expiry Date – the date at which your options will expire worthless should you decide not to convert them to FPO’s

Out of the Money
– the cost of exercising the options to FPO’s is less than the current FPO price [plus whatever you paid for them].
